Customs and symbolism of traditional Japanese weddings

In the field of traditional weddings, Japanese customs are among the most colorful. For a bride who wants to remain faithful to the traditions, the amount of detail to follow is somewhat disarming, but the end result is definitely great!

We start from the engagement: when a loving couple decides that it's time to get married, a large formal dinner is held on a day considered auspicious dall'almanacco Japanese, Tomobiki. During this engagement dinner, called "Yui-no", gifts are exchanged acts to wish happiness and luck to the future spouses.
The list of gifts is called "Mokuroku." This varies according to family and region, but generally these are the traditional gifts:
Naga-Noshi: sea shells widely used in Japan as symbols of wishes for happiness.
Katsuo-Bushi: dry tuna, of great value as used in Japanese cuisine as an ingredient that is preserved for a long time, used to make soups. It symbolizes the hope for a lasting love.

Much love for Japan .... Mariangela wedding planner
